The novel coronavirus is EVERYWHERE. Most of the world is in quarantine. This pandemic is slaying our people, stifling our culture, and shutting down our societies. Media outlets of all sources are talking about how ‘new’ this is, how unprecedented, how differant.
But human beings have lived through pandemics before. They have used art and literature and religion and history to remember their experiences with plagues. They have recorded their memories of how they did it. How they survived. How they created. How they cared for one another.
Why don’t we learn from them?
Over the next months of this pandemic, let me share with you the experiences of other human beings who survived and thrived.
